Niko: Core Biography¶

Timeline¶
- Childhood: NYC. Broken home. Father was criminal, mother kicked him out. Mother alcoholic, abusive.
- Age 14: Cut wrists. Left home.
- Adolescence: Institutional life - boys homes, group homes. Abuse continued in institutional settings.
- Street life: Drug addiction. Junkie survival in NYC. Learned to survive on the streets.
- Institutions: Cycled through detoxes, hospitals, jails. Each with its own hierarchy, its own system, its own rules for survival.
- Physical development: Forced to be physically fit, strong, commanding. Survival required physical power and presence. This was not chosen - it was imposed by the environment.
- Recovery: Gradual. Stayed curious. Kept learning. Adapted to changing technology. Never stopped being interested in new things.
- Mathematics: Dyscalculia - could only get 80s on tests, never did homework because it was dry and boring. Missed crucial school years during the pattern-formation window for computational math. To this day cannot do undergraduate-level symbol manipulation or math with numbers.
- BUT: Can do postgraduate, post-doctoral, frontier-level abstract mathematics. Structural reasoning, not computational. This is Abstract dimension, not Mathematical-computational dimension.
Key Insight: Abused Into Development¶
The trauma forced cross-dimensional activation. Every institution required: - Interpersonal: reading hierarchies, navigating power structures, knowing who to trust - Kinesthetic/Proprioceptive/Somatic: physical fitness, fighting ability, body awareness as survival tool - Empathic: reading emotional states of dangerous people - Linguistic: negotiating, talking your way out - Abstract: seeing the pattern across different institutional systems - Naturalistic: reading environments for threat/safety
The dimensions were not developed by choice. They were developed by necessity. The trauma was the teacher. This is the dark version of the framework - it works under coercion too, but at enormous cost.
The Dyscalculia Proof¶
Mathematical (computational) and Abstract (structural) are genuinely different dimensions. Niko is proof: - Cannot do: arithmetic, algebraic manipulation, undergraduate symbol pushing, anything with numbers - Can do: gauge theory intuition, spectral gap reasoning, Ginzburg-Landau phase transition framework, structural isomorphisms across physics domains, frontier mathematical physics - The system labels this as paradox. The I-vector framework explains it: different dimensions, different development windows, different neural circuits.
Healing Mechanism (Lived)¶
- Will persisted through everything. The scalar never went to zero.
- Curiosity was the survival trait. Kept learning, kept adapting.
- Technology adoption kept Abstract and Linguistic dimensions active even during worst periods.
- The graph never fully disconnected - enough edges survived to maintain percolation.
- Recovery was rebuilding edges, not building new nodes. The dimensions were always there. The connections had been damaged.
For the Memoir¶
The autobiography is NOT a victim story. It is the story of how the worst possible version of cross-dimensional activation still produces extraordinary intelligence - and the argument that we can get the same result without the suffering. The book says: here is what forced development looks like. Now here is how to do it voluntarily, gently, with freedom instead of coercion. No one must be coerced.
