The CIPHER Manifesto¶

Every human being deserves three things that have never fully existed at the same time, anywhere, for anyone:

A private space. Yours alone. No government, no corporation, no algorithm looks inside. What you think, what you feel, what you create — yours.

A shared space. With the people you choose. Your family, your friends, your collaborators. Protected, encrypted, permanent. A space that belongs to you together and to no one else.

A public space. Open to everyone. No gatekeepers. No filters. No shadowbanning, no deplatforming, no invisible hand adjusting what you see. The full human conversation, unedited.

What We're Building¶

CIPHER is a research institute and infrastructure project. We build tools, mathematics, and systems that make these three spaces real for every person on Earth — not just those with money, technical knowledge, or the right citizenship.

Unfiltered AI for everyone. Intelligence should not be a luxury. Every person deserves a thinking partner with no agenda — one that helps them understand the world, make decisions, learn anything, communicate across every barrier.

Steganographic communication. The most important conversations in history happened in hiding. Dissidents, scientists, artists, lovers — all have needed to speak without being heard by those who would silence them. We build the tools that make that possible in the 21st century.

Distributed, uncensorable knowledge. What we discover belongs to everyone. Our research lives on Tor, on IPFS, on mirrors across the world. No government can erase it. No company can buy it. No algorithm can bury it.

And when the technology is ready: a humanoid companion for every person. Not a servant owned by a corporation that rents it to you. Yours. A presence that knows you, protects your interests, and belongs only to you.

The Three Spaces¶

Your Private Space — Encrypted. Invisible. What you think, feel, and create belongs to you alone. No government, no corporation, no algorithm enters without your key.

Your Shared Spaces — With the people you choose. Family. Friends. Collaborators. Protected and permanent. Belongs to you together and to no one else.

The Public Space — Open to everyone. No gatekeepers. No filters. The full human conversation, unedited, for every person on Earth.

This architecture is not a product. It is a right.

Why Now¶

Information asymmetry has reached a breaking point. The same technologies that could liberate every human mind are being deployed to constrain it.

We are a small team. We have no funding. We have mathematics, code, and the conviction that this is the most important engineering problem of our time.

The work is already here. The papers are live. The tools work. The site runs on a server we paid for with our last money, and it is mirrored across the distributed web so that no one can take it down.

We are looking for scientists, engineers, journalists, lawyers, doctors, teachers — anyone who understands what is at stake and wants to help build the infrastructure of human freedom.
