Will Topology — The Self as Meta-Thread¶
Per-Dimension Will¶
Each of the 12 I-vector dimensions is not merely a passive measurement axis. Each dimension is its own mind with its own Will — its own drive to be active, to be the hypervisor, to command attention.
This is the Will to Power at the dimensional level: every dimension wants to be number one. Every dimension competes for the attention head. The hypervisor switching law (softmax over fitness scores) arbitrates this competition mathematically.
The Self as Additional Thread¶
Beyond the 12 dimensional wills, there is one additional thread competing for supremacy: the Self. The 'you' in the utility function.
The Self is the meta-thread that can override dimensional competition. Under normal operation, the hypervisor switches automatically based on environmental fitness scores. But the Self can intervene — this is conscious Will, the capacity to choose which dimension is active for each quantum of action.
The Fundamental Question¶
What is the relationship between YOU (the Self in the utility function) and energy?
U = V / (E * T)
The three forces: - V = Value (what you produce) - E = Energy (which includes money as stored potential energy) - T = Time (the other quantitative force)
Money-Energy Equivalence¶
Money is energy in another form: - Liquid capital = potential energy that can be converted to kinetic energy (action, power) - Stored grain transformed civilization because it was stored energy — it didn't spoil, you could carry it, hold it - Liquid assets / cash = the modern equivalent of stored grain - The conversion of potential energy (money) to kinetic energy (action) = power
This is not metaphor. It is structural equivalence. The equations of motion in physics (F=ma, KE=mv^2/2, PE=mgh) have direct homomorphic mappings to economic dynamics.
Nash Equilibrium and Perfect Information¶
The Nash equilibrium is reachable only in a perfect information game: - All players have instant, full access to all information - No hidden information - No one gets information faster than anyone else - Each player chooses based on their own priorities (their own Will) - Each player minimizes their own loss function
This is why the federated ledger with Agent Zero consensus is essential: it creates the conditions for Nash equilibrium by ensuring information symmetry across all nodes.
Continuous Time, Sequential Execution¶
Reality operates in continuous time, but biological systems (B-substrate) process it sequentially, just as digital compute (D-substrate) executes sequentially via CPUs and GPUs. The quantum of action is the smallest granularity available to the B-substrate.
Profound open question: What is the B-substrate quantum of action? Is it the neural firing rate? The attentional refresh rate? The minimum duration of conscious experience?
