The Bridge Identity¶

The core identity connecting GL spectral theory to the Weil explicit formula:

Σ_γ f̂(γ) = f(1) + f(0) - Σ_p Σ_n (log p / p^(n/2)) [f(p^n) + f(p^{-n})] - ...

This is the Guinand-Weil explicit formula. The requirement that the LHS defines a positive-definite inner product on the GL Hilbert space is equivalent to the Riemann Hypothesis.
