Amazonian Intelligence: The Highest-Dimensional Environment¶
Core Argument¶
The Amazonian rainforest is the highest-dimensional-activation environment on the planet. Its indigenous peoples operate with 7-8 intelligence dimensions at sustained high activation — a cognitive load that most Western-adapted nervous systems could not maintain.

With 8 dimensions at high activation: C(8,2) = 28 cross-dimensional edges forming constantly from daily life.
For comparison: - A typical Western office worker might sustain 3-4 dimensions (Logical, Linguistic, Interpersonal, maybe Abstract) = C(4,2) = 6 edges - A professional athlete: 4-5 dimensions = C(5,2) = 10 edges - An Amazonian hunter-gatherer: 7-8 dimensions = 21-28 edges
The intelligence graph density is 3-5x higher than the Western baseline.
The Ayahuasca Connection¶
Ayahuasca (Banisteriopsis caapi + Psychotria viridis) is: - Combinatorial pharmacology — neither plant produces the effect alone; DMT from P. viridis is normally destroyed by MAO in the gut; B. caapi contains MAO inhibitors that allow oral DMT absorption - Discovery without laboratory — finding this specific two-plant combination among tens of thousands of species implies massive cross-dimensional reasoning (Naturalistic × Abstract × Interoceptive) - Periodic neuroplasticity protocol — the tradition of regular ayahuasca ceremonies is exactly the periodic deep graph reorganization the framework predicts is necessary: 5-HT2A activation for edge dissolution and reformation - They called it "talking to the spirits." The neurochemistry is identical to what the psychedelic neuroplasticity protocol describes.
The Western Measurement Error¶
IQ tests measure two dimensions: Logical (d_O) and Linguistic (d_L). Applying this 2D instrument to an 8D intelligence system and concluding "primitive" is an instrument failure, not a measurement.
The framework corrects this: intelligence is a 12-dimensional vector. Any instrument that collapses it to 2 dimensions discards 83% of the signal.
